Gold Prices Surge to Record High After Sharp Jump

Karachi (Commerce Desk): Gold prices have witnessed a sudden and significant increase in both global and local markets, reaching a new all-time high.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce rose by $157 on Wednesday, reaching $4,814.

Following the global trend, local sarafa markets also saw a sharp rise, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola increasing by Rs. 15,700 to reach Rs. 504,162. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs. 13,460, reaching Rs. 432,237.

On the other hand, silver prices also moved upward, with per tola silver increasing by Rs. 440 to Rs. 8,184, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs. 377 to Rs. 7,016.

This surge in prices is expected to make jewelry purchases even more expensive for consumers.
