Google Announces One-Year Free Gemini Subscription for Pakistani Students

Islamabad (Web Desk) — With the establishment of its first local office in Pakistan, Google has announced that it will provide artificial intelligence services free of cost to students across the country. Speaking at the ceremony, Google Vice President Wilson White said that the company would provide a one-year free subscription to Google Gemini to all students in Pakistan, with the official announcement expected by the end of this week.

He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of making Pakistan a $30 billion IT export hub is also aligned with Google’s goals. According to Wilson White, over the past decade, Google has supported more than Rs3.9 trillion in economic activity for local businesses and households in Pakistan, while the company’s ecosystem has supported more than 960,000 jobs.

The Google vice president indicated the company’s future investments and projects in Pakistan, saying that this journey has only just begun.

Meanwhile, after the ceremony, Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja welcomed Google to Pakistan on the social media platform X.
