Lahore (Pakistan News) Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has reacted to the US–Iran peace agreement, calling it Iran’s success and a failure of the US-Israel alliance.
In a statement on social media platform X, he said that Iran’s resistance has proven that imperial powers achieve their goals only when there is no resistance against them, while steadfastness and perseverance ultimately lead to success.
He said that after the recent development, new diplomatic and defence opportunities have emerged in the region, which should be utilized.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman called for expanding the Pakistan–Saudi defence agreement to include Iran and Turkey in order to promote collective regional security and stability.
He also urged the Pakistani government to make immediate progress on the Pakistan–Iran gas pipeline project and complete it as soon as possible.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader also demanded the start of free trade with Iran, saying that increased economic cooperation would benefit the people of the region.
