Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has said Washington has a long history of breaking agreements and treats its international commitments like tissue paper.
According to foreign media reports, Baghaei said US President Donald Trump’s admission of violating an agreement was a major scandal for those who defend American actions.
He said Washington’s lack of seriousness regarding the Islamabad Agreement did not surprise Iran, as the United States had repeatedly violated its promises and agreements in the past.
The Iranian spokesperson added that those defending American actions had no justification for covering up unlawful conduct. He stressed that violations of international commitments and agreements could not be defended.
