Lahore (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Pakistani singer Hasan Jahangir has revealed that after the massive success of his iconic song Hawa Hawa, he received immense love and appreciation in India.
Speaking on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, he said that he maintained pleasant relationships not only within the Pakistani music industry but also with several prominent Bollywood personalities.
During the program, Ahmed Ali Butt asked whether former Indian actress Rekha had really written him a love letter. Smiling, Hasan Jahangir replied that love can happen at any age, but some matters are better kept private, so he would not like to comment further on it.
The singer said that he has always received respect and affection in India. According to him, he remains in contact with several major Indian stars including Madhuri Dixit, Govinda, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Mithun Chakraborty, and they still exchange goodwill messages from time to time.
Hasan Jahangir also reflected on an important decision in his career, saying that he was offered several lead roles in Indian films, including projects opposite big names like Neelam and Madhuri Dixit. However, he chose to return to Pakistan instead of accepting those offers, a decision he now reportedly regrets.
