Doha (Monitoring Desk) Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation in which they discussed rising regional tensions and issues related to maritime security. According to a statement issued by the Amiri Diwan, both leaders discussed the latest developments at the regional and global levels, particularly at a time when tensions are rapidly escalating.
During the conversation, emphasis was placed on ensuring international maritime security, stability of energy markets, and continuity of global supply systems, while the situation in the Strait of Hormuz was also reviewed. The Emir of Qatar stressed the need to intensify global diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region.
