Lahore (Sports Desk): The Pakistan women's national football team created history with a शानदार performance at the start of an international series, defeating the Turks and Caicos Islands women's national football team by 8-0.
This victory is being described as the biggest win in the history of the national women’s team, surpassing their previous 7-0 win against Maldives in 2022.
In the first half, four different players scored to give the team a strong lead. Zahmeena Malik opened the scoring, while Aqsa Mushtaq, Layla Banaras, and Maryam Mahmood also found the net.
In the second half, Nadia Khan scored the fifth goal with a header, while Aqsa Mushtaq added another to strengthen the lead. Layla Banaras netted her second goal of the match, and in the 81st minute, Isra Khan scored the final goal to seal a memorable victory.
President of the Pakistan Football Federation, Mohsin Gilani, congratulated the team and coaching staff, stating that this marks the beginning of a new era for women’s football in the country. He also expressed hope that the team will continue to achieve success with the same spirit in the future.
