To clarify the situation, Imran Ashraf himself issued a statement on social media and informed his fans that he was completely fine. In an Instagram post, he requested prayers and said that, Alhamdulillah, he was well and the viral report was fake.
The fake video had been shared on a TikTok account, where several other AI-generated videos of a similar nature were also available. These videos showed senior journalists, cricketers and actors expressing condolences over Imran Ashraf’s alleged death.
