Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that 85 locations at U.S. facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait were targeted in response to American attacks.
According to a statement issued by the IRGC, the attacks targeted the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
Iranian forces said the operation was carried out as an initial response to what they described as U.S. violations of the ceasefire and the Islamabad agreement.
The statement claimed that in response to U.S. airstrikes, the IRGC's naval and air forces carried out joint missile and drone operations targeting 85 key American military facilities, including Port Salman in Bahrain and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
The IRGC also claimed to have shot down an American MQ-9 drone.
Earlier, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) had announced that it had targeted more than 80 locations in Iran.
