Tehran (Monitoring Desk) — Iran has distanced itself from the actions of Yemen’s Houthi group and emphasized political contacts and negotiations instead of military measures to resolve the issue.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi proposed reducing tensions through political engagement in the context of Houthi actions against Gulf countries.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Iran has distanced itself from the Houthis and Iraqi armed groups, while Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Abbas Araghchi want to resolve the issue.
Ishaq Dar said Iran’s proposal will be considered at a meeting in Riyadh next week as an alternative to military action.
The development comes at a time when Houthi attacks have increased tensions in the region, including Saudi Arabia, while various countries are attempting to control the situation through political means.
