Iran May Target US Assets in Europe If Tensions Rise

London (Monitoring Desk) British newspaper Financial Times has claimed that if tensions between Iran and the United States escalate, Tehran is considering targeting US military assets in Europe.

According to the report, Iran has identified US military facilities in Europe as potential targets, including American or Western military centers in Bulgaria and Cyprus.

According to the Financial Times, Iran has also assessed the possibility of targeting undersea fiber-optic cables in the Strait of Hormuz, while preparations are being made to expand the scope of the war in the event of a US attack.

The report said that in the event of US military action, Iran could launch widespread attacks in response.
