Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran has said it is reviewing the United States’ response to its proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and will convey its reply to Washington through mediators once the review is complete.
According to Reuters, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told a press conference that Tehran had received the US response and was currently examining it. He said Iran would respond to the United States through mediators after completing the review.
Baghaei added that messages were still being exchanged between Iran and the relevant parties through mediators, but declined to provide further details about the diplomatic contacts.
The Iranian statement indicates that diplomatic efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz are continuing. However, no details have yet emerged about Tehran’s final response or the possible outcome of the negotiations.
