Iran Threatens Gulf Undersea Cables if US, Israel Attack

Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iranian officials have warned that detailed plans have been prepared to target undersea communication cables in the Gulf if the United States and Israel launch further attacks.

The warning comes as Iranian officials have already cautioned that undersea communication cables in the region could become potential targets if diplomacy with Washington fails and a new conflict begins.

Two Iranian officials, speaking to a news agency on condition of anonymity, did not provide details about how potential attacks would be carried out or the locations of the intended targets.

According to one official, Iran's objective would be to obstruct repairs to the undersea cables following an attack, ensuring that disruptions to internet connections and other communication systems continue for an extended period.
