Islamabad on High Alert Ahead of Possible Iran-US Talks

Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar) Security in the federal capital has been placed on high alert in view of a possible second round of talks between Iran and the United States, with extraordinary safety measures in place across the city. According to sources, additional personnel of Rangers and Frontier Corps have been deployed alongside police around sensitive locations and the Red Zone, while entry of unauthorized individuals has been restricted. Extra checkpoints have been set up on various roads, and every incoming vehicle is being thoroughly checked, with strict action also being taken against vehicles with tinted windows. To further strengthen security, more than 2,500 police personnel from Punjab have arrived in Islamabad, including one DIG, eight DPOs, and sixteen senior police officers, while 800 Elite Force commandos will also be deployed on security duty. This contingent will remain in Islamabad until the presence of key figures and will perform duties in coordination with local police. Meanwhile, cleanliness and beautification efforts in the city have also been accelerated, with road cleaning and repainting of footpaths underway to improve the environment for potential diplomatic engagements.
