Tel Aviv (Monitoring Desk) — Israel’s Defence Minister has warned that ongoing tensions with Iran could escalate into an open conflict, possibly within the next two days.
According to international media reports, the Israeli Defence Minister said that if Israel perceives a serious threat to its national security, it reserves the right to take immediate action without external approval.
He stated that Israel has full autonomy in making decisions for its defense and will respond militarily in a timely manner if necessary.
The statement comes at a time when diplomatic efforts are underway to reduce tensions between the United States and Iran, with ongoing contacts at various levels regarding a potential ceasefire and negotiations in the region.
