James Webb Telescope Releases Stunning New Galaxy Image

Lahore (Web Desk) — The James Webb Space Telescope of the U.S. space agency has released a new and visually striking image of a distant galaxy located millions of light-years away from Earth.

According to scientists, the galaxy is known as Messier 77, also called the “Squid Galaxy.” It is located approximately 45 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus.

The galaxy is structurally a barred spiral galaxy, similar to our Milky Way, but its central region is unusually bright.

This extraordinary brightness is due to a supermassive black hole at its center, which continuously pulls in surrounding matter.

Scientists say this black hole has a mass millions of times greater than the Sun, and its strong gravitational pull causes nearby matter to spin rapidly and heat up to extreme temperatures.

The energy and light produced through this process are so intense that they can sometimes outshine the combined brightness of the entire galaxy.
