MQM Worker Mahmood Sanata Files Acquittal Petition in Anti-Terrorism Court

Karachi (Pakistan Khabar) – In a special Anti-Terrorism Court, the lawyer of MQM worker Mahmood Sanata has filed a petition seeking acquittal in a case involving murder, attempted murder, and terrorism.

Defense lawyer Latif Pasha Advocate told the court that the accused, Mahmood Sanata, Raees Mamma, and others, have been charged with opening fire to seize a plot of land. According to the lawyer, the firing incident resulted in the death of Zar Khan and injuries to three others.

Latif Pasha informed the court that Mahmood was initially arrested on weapons charges, but after being acquitted in that case, he was immediately taken into custody in a different case. The defense argued that Mahmood was implicated in this case to target MQM leader Raees, also known as Mamma.

The lawyer further stated that the accused’s real name is Muhammad Mahmood, while the police arrested a person under the name Mahmood Sanata, recorded in the documents as Mahmood alias Rana. He requested the court to acquit the accused, asserting that he has no connection with this case.
