NCCIA Summons Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Rizwan for Inquiry

Lahore (Sports Desk) — The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has summoned players of the national cricket team.

According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had taken the mobile phones of some cricketers into custody and sent them to the relevant agency.

Sources said the NCCIA issued notices to Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Rizwan and another cricketer, summoning them for questioning.

The NCCIA will conduct an investigation based on information obtained from the players’ mobile phones. However, the PCB has so far not clarified why the cricketers’ mobile phones were taken into custody.

According to sources, Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan will appear before the NCCIA in Lahore tomorrow. Notices were issued to both players on Monday, summoning them to the NCCIA Lahore office on Friday.

Sources said the mobile phones of both cricketers will be unlocked, after which they will be questioned and investigated in connection with the alleged leaking of information from the dressing room during the England series.
