Islamabad (Commerce Desk) — The Ministry of Finance has announced the new value of Diyat for the fiscal year 2026-27, according to which the Diyat amount has been fixed at Rs193.52 million.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the value of Diyat under Section 323 of the Pakistan Penal Code has been set equal to the current price of 30,630 grams of silver.
Officials stated that during the previous fiscal year 2025-26, the Diyat amount was fixed at Rs98.28 million, while an increase of Rs95.23 million has been made for the new fiscal year.
The Ministry of Finance said that the amount of Diyat is determined according to the law based on the value of the specified quantity of silver, after which an official notification is issued at the beginning of every fiscal year.
