New Zealand takes strict action, imposes travel bans on 3 Israeli extremist settlers

Auckland (Monitoring Desk) New Zealand has imposed travel bans on three Israeli settlers active in the occupied West Bank.

New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters described the individuals as extremists, stating that they will no longer be able to travel to New Zealand.

Those sanctioned include Itamar Yehuda Levi, Harel David Libi, and Eliav Libi.

According to the foreign minister, these individuals played an active role in the expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, including involvement in incidents of violence.

Winston Peters said that such activities are not only endangering Palestinians but also Israeli citizens, and are pushing the region further toward instability.

Reaffirming its position, New Zealand said it supports a two-state solution and believes that settlement expansion and settler violence are major obstacles to lasting peace in the Middle East.
