Neymar Announces International Football Retirement

Brazil (Sports Desk): Brazilian football star Neymar has announced his retirement from international football after Brazil’s early exit from the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Speaking emotionally to the media, Neymar said that his journey with the national team has come to an end and that he will not represent Brazil in the future.

The 34-year-old player said that he always played for his country with full passion, created many memorable moments, and became part of history, but now it is time to close the chapter of his national team career.

Brazil suffered a 1-2 defeat against Norway in the pre-quarterfinal stage of the World Cup, where Neymar’s only goal of the tournament was not enough to save the team from elimination.

After returning to the national team nearly three years later, Neymar was given the opportunity to play only two matches in the World Cup, spending a total of 37 minutes on the field.

Neymar is currently associated with his club Santos, with his contract remaining valid until the end of this year.

Meanwhile, Neymar recently delivered an impressive performance for Santos, scoring two goals in his first match after his return and responding to critics with his performance.
