Karachi (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Pakistani TV host Nida Yasir has become the center of attention on social media due to her recent remarks in which she advised parents regarding children's upbringing and independence.
Speaking on her morning show, Nida Yasir said that instead of only collecting property and jewelry for their children, parents should provide them with opportunities for self-reliance, life experiences, and practical training.
She said that excessive protection and restrictions in every matter can affect children's confidence. Parents should encourage their children to gain new experiences, make their own decisions, and learn to take responsibility so that they can manage their lives better in the future.
Giving an example, Nida Yasir said that children can be introduced to experiences such as traveling alone to build confidence, and they should even be encouraged to have the courage to travel alone from Karachi to Lahore.
However, her statement received mixed reactions from social media users. Many users, referring to the current circumstances, said that such advice may not be practical in Pakistan due to law and order issues and concerns regarding children's safety.
