Shanghai (Web Desk): Pakistan has signed the founding agreement of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), becoming one of its founding members during a ceremony held in Shanghai.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar represented Pakistan and signed the agreement establishing the organization.
The Foreign Office stated that Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to promoting global cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and emphasized that the benefits of advanced technologies should be shared equitably among all countries.
According to the statement, Pakistan will continue to work with other member states to reduce the global digital and technological divide in artificial intelligence and promote fair and equal access to advanced technologies.
The Foreign Office further said that Pakistan considers international collaboration, shared development, and equitable access to artificial intelligence technologies essential for achieving sustainable development and strengthening global cooperation in the future.
