Islamabad (Commerce Desk): To fulfill the conditions of the International Monetary Fund, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has corrected discrepancies worth billions of dollars in import data and updated the monthly and annual figures following a review.
The changes in the data have been reported to amount to as much as $30 billion over a specific period, with significant implications for the country’s gross domestic product. The PBS has incorporated the revised import data into the calculations of various key sectors of the economy.
