Islamabad (Pakistan News) Pakistan has expressed its resolve to increase the volume of bilateral trade with Kyrgyzstan to $2 billion.
Addressing a ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the transit trade agreement between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan is welcome, adding that laws and regulations will be further improved to increase trade volume between the two countries.
A ceremony was held for the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding and the exchange of documents between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan in various sectors, which was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
During the ceremony, a document regarding a program of cooperation between the foreign ministries of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan was exchanged. A memorandum of understanding was also exchanged between the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad and the Kyrgyz National Institute for Strategic Initiatives.
The two countries also signed an agreement regarding transit trade, while a memorandum of understanding concerning cooperation between the ministries of education was also exchanged.
