Islamabad (Commerce Desk) — The government has decided to keep the current prices of petroleum products unchanged for the next three days, while increasing the margin for petroleum dealers by Rs1.34 per litre.
The price of petrol will remain at Rs325.43 per litre, while high-speed diesel will continue to cost Rs383.95 per litre.
The Economic Coordination Committee meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in Islamabad, approved the increase in dealers’ margins on petroleum products. Following the increase, the dealers’ overall margin has reached Rs10 per litre.
Following the government’s decision, the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has postponed its strike. A joint committee has also been formed to review the dealers’ demand for an 8 percent margin, and it will submit its report within 30 days.
