Islamabad (Commerce Desk): The All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association has expressed serious concerns over the mechanism for determining petroleum product prices and has demanded consultation with the Minister of Petroleum.
Association Vice Chairman Nauman Butt stated that it is essential to involve petrol pump owners in the current price-setting process. Nearly fifteen thousand pump owners across the country are dissatisfied with the existing system, calling it non-transparent.
Nauman Butt warned that while no new crisis should be triggered under the current circumstances, closing petrol pumps remains an option if their demands are not addressed. He emphasized that the Petroleum Minister would be held responsible for any consequences arising from unresolved issues.
The association’s urgent stance has created concern in the national energy market and emerged as a significant news item for the public.
