Islamabad (Pakistan News): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute on behalf of the entire nation to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, the first recipient of Pakistan’s highest military award, Nishan-e-Haider, on his 78th martyrdom anniversary.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the entire nation always remembers and pays tribute to the great sacrifice of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed for the defence of the country. He said that Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed sacrificed his life for the nation on July 27, 1948, while bravely and courageously confronting the enemy during the first Kashmir war.
The Prime Minister said that Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed was the first Pakistani to be awarded the Nishan-e-Haider for his outstanding sacrifice in defence of the motherland. He added that by demonstrating devotion to duty, unmatched courage, bravery, and professional skills on the battlefield, he made his name immortal in history.
Shehbaz Sharif said that great sons of Pakistan like Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed are the pride of the nation and a symbol of the country’s invincible defence. He said that his unforgettable sacrifice will continue to serve as a guiding light for future generations.
President Asif Ali Zardari also paid tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed on his martyrdom anniversary, saying that he created an unparalleled example of dedication, courage, and patriotism by sacrificing his life for the cause of Kashmir’s freedom.
The President of Pakistan said that Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, the first recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, added a glorious chapter to the national history that the nation will always remember with respect and pride. He said that martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan’s defence are the country’s valuable assets.
