President Zardari Leaves for Kyrgyzstan Today

Islamabad (Pakistan Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari will depart today for an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, which will continue until July 9, where he will lead a high-level Pakistani delegation.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the visit is being undertaken at the invitation of the President of Kyrgyzstan. During the visit, President Zardari will hold a one-on-one meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart, followed by delegation-level talks between the two countries.

The discussions will cover regional and global issues of mutual interest, as well as ways to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, energy, mining, agriculture, and textiles.

The spokesperson added that the agenda will also include collaboration in the halal industry, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, the digital economy, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

During the visit, President Zardari will also meet the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament.

The Foreign Office said this will be the first official visit by a Pakistani president to Kyrgyzstan in the past 21 years. The visit follows the Kyrgyz president’s trip to Pakistan in December 2025 and reflects the growing momentum in high-level bilateral relations between the two countries.
