Peshawar (Pakistan News): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Abdul Ghani Afridi has raised questions regarding the citizenship of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial lawmaker Jalal Khan and sent an official letter to the Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
In the letter, Abdul Ghani Afridi stated that there are important questions regarding Jalal Khan’s citizenship and constitutional and legal eligibility, which require a transparent and impartial investigation.
He requested the Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to take notice of the matter and send an official reference or communication to the Election Commission and other relevant institutions so that a complete review of Jalal Khan’s citizenship and assembly membership can be conducted.
The PTI leader said that if investigations prove that Jalal Khan did not meet constitutional requirements, legal action should be taken against him according to the law.
Abdul Ghani Afridi said that he stands by his position and is ready to fully cooperate with any legal proceedings carried out by the relevant authorities.
