Islamabad (Pakistan News): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has termed the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran a positive development and appreciated the government’s diplomatic role.
In its statement, the party said that war is never a solution to problems, emphasizing that dialogue is the most effective way to resolve conflicts. It added that history shows wars only bring destruction and loss of life.
PTI welcomed the development and expressed hope that the agreement would be fully implemented, leading to lasting peace in the region.
Party leader Salman Akram Raja stated that Pakistan as a state does not depend on any single individual but functions under a constitutional system. He described Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace as commendable.
He also referred to Iran’s defensive response, calling it remarkable, and said Pakistan should continue playing its role in promoting peace in the region.
Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan noted that although the government has not shared detailed information about the mediation process, the ceasefire is a welcome step and could lay the foundation for lasting peace.
He further said that all parties involved in achieving this development deserve appreciation and expressed hope that it would also lead to a reduction in oil prices.
