Islamabad (Commerce Desk): Rising gold prices in the international market have significantly increased the value of Pakistan’s official gold reserves by Rs392 billion.
At the end of fiscal year 2026, the value of gold reserves held by the State Bank was recorded at Rs2,334 billion, compared with Rs1,942 billion at the end of the previous fiscal year.
During fiscal year 2025-26, Pakistan’s official gold reserves increased by 70 kilograms, bringing total reserves to 64.82 tonnes as of June 30, 2026.
On that date, the value of the country’s official gold reserves was recorded at $8.39 billion. A 22.5% increase in global gold prices during fiscal year 2026 also played a significant role in raising the rupee value of Pakistan’s reserves.
