Riyadh (Monitoring Desk): Saudi Arabia’s new national airline, Riyadh Air, has launched direct flights to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
According to Riyadh Air, the daily service to Dhaka adds another new city to the airline’s international network in Asia.
The daily flight between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka will be operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Riyadh Air’s first flight received a water-cannon salute upon arrival in Dhaka. Officials associated with the aviation sectors of Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, along with Riyadh Air representatives, attended the ceremony held on the occasion.
Dhaka is the ninth destination to join Riyadh Air’s international network.
