Yemen (Monitoring Desk) — Reports have emerged of multiple airstrikes by Saudi warplanes in various areas of Yemen, including Marib, Al-Jawf and Taiz.
According to Yemeni TV, five airstrikes were carried out in Khub Wa Ash Sha’af district of Al-Jawf, 10 in Sirwah area of Marib, and five in Taiz. There were also reports of Saudi forces carrying out airstrikes in the border district of Ghamr in Saada.
According to Arab media, the Saudi-led coalition has not yet officially confirmed the airstrikes. Yemeni media have also reported the attacks; however, details vary among statements from different sources.
Meanwhile, Saudi Civil Defense issued alerts in various areas, including Khamis Mushait, to warn of potential danger.
It may be recalled that a day earlier, 73 people were injured in Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, following which the Saudi-led coalition forces announced a retaliatory operation.
According to the Saudi coalition forces, the Houthis targeted civilian and economic facilities in Saudi cities, prompting the announcement of a strong response.
