Peshawar (Pakistan News): The preliminary list of candidates for the Senate general seat by-election from Peshawar has been released, accelerating political activity in the province.
According to provincial election authorities, a total of six candidates are in the میدان, including Irfan Saleem, Abdul Haseeb, Asghar Ali, Raheela Bibi, Sajjad Khan Mohmand, and Ghulam Badshah.
Details reveal that Irfan Saleem is the candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Abdul Haseeb represents Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Asghar Ali is nominated by Pakistan Muslim League (N), and Raheela Bibi is the candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, candidates can withdraw their nomination papers until April 17, while polling for the vacant seat will be held on April 23.
It is worth noting that the seat became vacant following the disqualification of Murad Saeed, and the by-election is now being conducted to fill this position.
