Shah Rukh Khan Rejects Role in Realistic Film

Mumbai (Showbiz Desk) — An important revelation has emerged regarding Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s criteria for selecting films.

Director of the film Ghamasaan, Tigmanshu Dhulia, revealed that he first approached Shah Rukh Khan to play the lead role of a police officer in the film, but the actor refused to accept the role.

Tigmanshu Dhulia, who rose to fame for directing the critically acclaimed 2012 film Paan Singh Tomar, spoke about his conversation with Shah Rukh Khan in a recent interview.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Tigmanshu Dhulia said that he first narrated the film’s script to Shah Rukh Khan. After hearing the script, the actor said that he does not work in this kind of realistic film.

According to the director, he has known Shah Rukh Khan for a long time, and the two have been acquainted since the time of the film Dil Se. Tigmanshu Dhulia also played Shah Rukh Khan’s father in the film Zero.

Meanwhile, actor Arshad Warsi also supported Shah Rukh Khan’s decision, saying humorously that he would prefer to see the superstar in bigger and extraordinary roles.

The film Ghamasaan is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, while Arshad Warsi and Pratik Gandhi are also playing important roles in the film. The movie is set to hit cinemas on September 11.
