Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King is being described as the biggest and most expensive project of his film career so far.
According to Indian media reports, the estimated budget of the film King is around Rs450 crore, which does not include promotional campaign expenses and Shah Rukh Khan’s remuneration.
In terms of budget, the film could surpass Shah Rukh Khan’s successful movies Jawan and Pathaan, whose budgets are reportedly around Rs400 crore and Rs350 crore respectively.
According to reports, shooting for the film began in May 2025, and more than 150 days of filming have already been completed in different countries around the world. The shooting is expected to be completed in August 2026.
The film includes large-scale action sequences, which are being prepared under the supervision of international stunt experts. The responsibility for the film’s special visual effects has also been given to Shah Rukh Khan’s production company.
According to reports, sources associated with the film say that King was initially planned as an action thriller, but due to the broader vision of Shah Rukh Khan and the director, it was transformed into a large-scale action film.
