Sohail Afridi Warns of Nationwide Protest if PTI Founder Denied Meeting

Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that if he is not allowed to meet the PTI founder on Thursday, the entire Pakistan will be turned into D-Chowk at 10pm, while Prime Minister and those holding government positions will be responsible if any harm comes to the PTI founder.

Speaking at a press conference at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad alongside Salman Akram Raja and other leaders, Sohail Afridi said that all parliamentarians would go to Adiala Jail on Thursday, while the following day, all members of Parliament would stage a sit-in in front of the Supreme Court.

The Chief Minister said that the PTI founder’s family is assuring that there will be no political discussion during the meeting, and the government should accept this assurance and allow the meeting.

Sohail Afridi said their basic demand is to provide the PTI founder with the best medical facilities, as there are concerns about the health of both the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi. He demanded that concerns regarding the PTI founder’s health be addressed.

He alleged that the PTI founder was not arrested but abducted and is unjustly imprisoned. According to him, responsibility for the PTI founder’s health at Adiala Jail lies with the government, jail administration and the relevant system.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister further said that the country’s youth are angry and frustrated and are concerned about their future. He said that young people are fed up with unemployment and the current situation and are ready to come out, while he also claimed that the entire nation would take to the streets on September 27.
