Stock Market Rebounds Strongly After Slump, Index Surges by Thousands of Points

Islamabad (Commerce Desk) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a strong recovery during trading as bullish momentum returned, pushing the benchmark index sharply higher.

During the session, the KSE-100 index climbed to 164,322 points, registering a significant gain of 3,903 points. The upward trend continued, with the index further rising to 164,494 and later reaching 164,663 points.

Earlier in the week, the market had come under intense pressure, dropping by 4,795 points in early trading to 162,396 points. The bearish trend persisted, dragging the index down further to 161,757 points before the rebound.

According to market experts, the recent surge is driven by positive expectations linked to ceasefire talks between United States and Iran held in Islamabad, easing regional tensions and stabilizing global oil prices.

These developments have boosted investor confidence, with ripple effects seen across Asian markets, including Pakistan’s stock exchange.
