California (Web Desk): A concept for a 222-foot-long supersonic aircraft called the Covplane has been unveiled, with claims that it could reduce air travel times by up to 70 percent in the future.
According to the proposed design, the aircraft would be capable of flying at twice the speed of sound and accommodating up to 200 passengers at a time. The plane is intended to cover approximately 16,000 kilometres on a single flight.
Under the concept, passengers could travel from London to Australia without an intermediate stop, potentially cutting travel time significantly on long-haul routes.
The designers aim to make the Covplane faster than the famous Concorde supersonic aircraft while offering greater passenger capacity. Its proposed range is also said to exceed that of the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9.
However, the Covplane remains a conceptual design. No confirmation has yet been provided regarding its construction, test flights, or potential future use in commercial aviation.
