Three Adiala Jail Inmates Seek Private Hospital Treatment After Imran Khan Case

Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar) Following orders allowing PTI founder Imran Khan to receive treatment at a private hospital, three inmates at Adiala Jail have also approached the Islamabad High Court seeking treatment at a private hospital and permission to communicate with their families.

The Islamabad High Court issued notices to Adiala Jail authorities on the petitions and sought para-wise comments from the jail superintendent.

Justice Muhammad Asif heard the petitions filed by inmates Ilyas Khan, Muhammad Ismail Khan, and Owais Altaf. Their lawyer, Barrister Akhtar Chhina, told the court that one of the petitioners suffers from hemophilia and internal bleeding and had been transferred to a hospital 10 times over the past two months, but his condition had not improved.

The lawyer maintained that treatment for the said condition is currently available in Pakistan only at Shifa Hospital.
