Houston (Monitoring Desk) In a tragic shooting incident in the US state of Iowa, a man killed six members of his own family before committing suicide.
According to police, four bodies were recovered from a house, while two more bodies were found at nearby locations. Two of the victims were children.
Authorities said that initial investigations suggest the incident was the result of a domestic dispute; however, a full investigation has been launched.
Police identified the attacker as 52-year-old Ryan Fels McFarland. Officials said the suspect also had a criminal record, while the identities and ages of the victims have not yet been fully confirmed.
It is worth noting that the city of Muscatine has a population of around 24,000 and is located approximately 155 miles east of Iowa’s capital, Des Moines.
