Toro (Monitoring Desk) — Rukidi IV, the 34-year-old king of Uganda’s Toro Kingdom, has passed away. He held the distinction of being the world’s youngest king.
Uganda’s Prime Minister confirmed the king’s death in a statement, saying that he died at around 10 p.m. local time on Thursday night.
According to media reports, the cause of Rukidi IV’s death has not yet been revealed.
Rukidi IV ascended the throne of the Toro Kingdom at the age of just three after the death of his father, becoming king on September 12, 1995.
