US Accepted Some of Iran’s Conditions, Claims Mohsen Rezaei

Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has claimed that the United States has accepted some of the seven conditions proposed by Iran. However, Tehran has described Washington’s response as insufficient because agreement has not been reached on key demands.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Rezaei said the United States had responded to Iran’s proposals through Qatar. According to him, Washington accepted some conditions, but the two sides failed to reach agreement on important issues.

Iranian officials say Tehran presented a seven-point proposal to the United States on the sidelines of a session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Iran’s position was that if the United States accepted these conditions, Tehran would be prepared to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic and restore normal shipping within seven days.

Rezaei criticized US actions, alleging that the American naval fleet had failed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and that Washington was now resorting to smuggling to transport oil through the strategically important waterway. He claimed that such a situation had never occurred before in the history of the US military.

The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and disruptions to global oil shipments are key issues in negotiations between the two countries. Iran has made reopening the waterway conditional on American concessions.

According to diplomatic circles, the exchange of messages through Qatar indicates that communication between the two countries is continuing. However, in light of Iran’s latest position, the prospects for an immediate end to the risks facing the Strait of Hormuz and global trade appear limited.
