US Announces New Policy to Cancel Visas of Supporters of Opposing Forces

Washington (Monitoring Desk) The US State Department has announced that visas of individuals supporting forces opposed to American interests are being restricted or canceled, with visas of twenty-six individuals already revoked. According to international media reports, this move is being implemented under a new policy introduced by President Donald Trump, aimed at strengthening US influence globally, and is said to be inspired by a past strategic approach. The State Department stated that sanctions will be imposed on individuals who provide financial, political, or other significant support to hostile forces, particularly in actions that could harm regional security, the economy, or sovereignty. US officials did not name any specific country; however, the move is being viewed in the context of growing influence in the region and ongoing efforts against drug trafficking. Previously, the US administration has also imposed visa restrictions on critics and political figures, while similar actions were taken last year against pro-Palestinian students. In the latest development, visas of at least seven individuals linked to Iran have also been canceled, while some Latin American leaders have reportedly been targeted under this policy.
