Washington (Web Desk): US authorities have claimed to have dismantled a major cyberattack network allegedly linked to China. According to the US Department of Justice, the hackers targeted the systems of key US and international institutions, including the Department of Justice, NASA and the central bank. Authorities seized two online platforms used for hacking, which were operated by a China-based company. The Department of Justice said the group had been attempting attacks on sensitive networks since 2018. In August 2019, an attempt was also made to infiltrate NASA’s systems, but the attackers failed. According to officials, the cyber group used advanced hacking tools capable of affecting critical infrastructure.
