US Strikes Iranian Military Targets, Tensions Escalate

Washington (Monitoring Desk): The US military has confirmed another major operation against Iran, claiming that multiple military targets inside Iran were successfully struck on the night of July 14.

The operation was carried out at a time when the United States had reimposed a naval blockade against ships entering and leaving Iranian ports, further increasing tensions in the region.

According to the US military, the operation continued for nearly seven hours, during which fighter jets, drones, and naval warships were used to launch advanced precision-guided strikes.

The US statement said that Iranian military facilities and coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz were targeted, including missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, coastal defense systems, and other military installations.

US officials said the objective of the operation was to limit Iran’s capabilities that could pose a threat to commercial vessels and civilian crews in the Strait of Hormuz.

On the same day, the United States reimposed naval restrictions from 4:00 pm on ships traveling to or departing from Iranian ports and coastal areas, increasing military tensions in the region.

The US military stated that all its forces remain fully prepared and alert, and are ready at all times to carry out presidential orders.

Meanwhile, experts say that US operations and increasing military activity in the Strait of Hormuz have raised concerns regarding global maritime trade, oil supplies, and regional peace. The international community has urged both countries to reduce tensions and seek a diplomatic solution.
