Vegetable and Fruit Prices Rise by Up to Rs150 per Kg in Lahore

Lahore (Commerce Desk) The prices of vegetables and fruits have increased significantly over the past two weeks. According to shopkeepers, vegetable and fruit prices have risen by Rs100 to Rs150 per kilogram, while the prices of fruit crates have increased by Rs1,000 to Rs2,000.

According to shopkeepers, pumpkin rose from Rs150 to Rs200, cauliflower from Rs150 to Rs220, cabbage from Rs150 to Rs250, and fenugreek from Rs300 to Rs400 per kilogram.

Similarly, capsicum increased from Rs300 to Rs350, onions from Rs120 to Rs200, and tomatoes from Rs200 to Rs250 per kilogram.

Among fruits, a 6-kilogram carton of peaches costs Rs950, while a crate of apples increased from Rs2,000 to Rs3,000, a crate of mangoes from Rs3,000 to Rs5,000, and a crate of grapes from Rs4,500 to Rs5,000.

Shopkeepers say vegetables and fruits are being supplied to them from the wholesale market at higher prices.
