Jeddah (Web Desk) WhatsApp is the most widely used app among smartphone users in Saudi Arabia, according to a new report.
According to the report titled “Saudi Internet 2025,” 94.4 percent of men and 90.4 percent of women in Saudi Arabia use WhatsApp, making it the most widely used social media app in the country.
According to the report, Snapchat ranks second, with 88.2 percent of women and 80.2 percent of men using it. Thus, after WhatsApp, Snapchat is the most popular app among Saudi women.
The report by the Saudi Communications and Space Technology Commission stated that TikTok ranks third, with 77.6 percent of female and 76.5 percent of male users.
YouTube is used by 81.1 percent of men and 68.8 percent of women, placing it fourth on the list. Instagram ranks fifth, with 42.2 percent female and 39.5 percent male users.
According to the report, 61.3 percent of internet users in Saudi Arabia spend seven hours or more online every day, while 34.4 percent spend three to six hours and 4.6 percent spend less than three hours on the internet.
Internet usage in Saudi Arabia is highest between 9 and 11 p.m., while Friday has been identified as the busiest day.
Smartphones are the most widely used means of accessing the internet, at a rate of 99.6 percent. Computers rank second at 47.4 percent, while tablets rank third with 39.2 percent usage.
According to the report, Wikipedia is the most visited website in Saudi Arabia, followed by YouTube and Instagram in second and third place, respectively.
