California (Web Desk) WhatsApp has started working on a new feature for channel administrators that will allow them to prepare their updates in advance and have them automatically published on a specified date and time.
According to the report, this facility is still under development and has not yet been made available to beta users. It was spotted in WhatsApp Android beta version 2.26.33.5.
Under the new system, a channel administrator will be able to set a date and time for any update, after which the message will be automatically published at the scheduled time. The administrator will not need to be online or keep WhatsApp open at the time of publication.
According to reports, to schedule an update, the administrator will have to press and hold the send button, after which an option to select the date and time will appear. Scheduled updates will also be displayed in the channel information section, where they can be viewed before publication and potentially managed.
This facility could prove useful for channel administrators who regularly publish content. However, WhatsApp has not yet officially introduced the feature or announced a date for its availability to general users.
